How Do I Trust in God?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5

The verse above me is a very popular verse. A lot of people do not know what it means and how it can affect our own lives. Welcome back to my blog. I am here to talk about how to trust in the lord.

Storytime

There has been so many times when I would want to control my own things, my life and, my possessions. Was it worth it? Nope not at all. This story happened this year. This is a little love story uprising. I like someone. As a women when you like someone especially if they are a Godly man, and they go to church. I your head you guys are getting married and thinking about how many kids your gonna have and what their names are. It get’s crazy in the brain. Trust me, you do not want to know what I am thinking half the time. Let’s be honest sometimes you start thinking about how good they are in bed. Let’s try not to get to head of ourselves. Fast forward. I see him in church and he ends up being in the same group as me, mind this it’s only like 20 people. I see him every week, I can’t seem to talk to him and start a conversation. Instead I try to follow him, more like stalk. He does not follow me back. Fast forward to October and I asked one if my friends if he likes me. You think that was bad choice, but guess what everything happens for a reason. He was not looking for a relationship at all and saw me as a friends. Ouch! The next few weeks things change and God was telling me to follow him back, because I unfollowed him after that diabolical situation. I did what he said and followed him. Later that night when I was reading my Bible, I got the same request from God to go on Instagram. At last he followed me back, I was literally sweating so much, so overwhelmed by what just happened.

This shows to trust in the Lord, because he will not leave you astray or desert you. Sometimes it’s hard and you want to give up and I get it. I was in your position. The best thing is to do is keep pushing cause eventually it will pay off. Here are some key things that helped me:

4 Reasons to Trust God

  • He knows better than we do.
  • All things are possible with God.
  • He is worthy of our trust.
  • He knows what He is doing.

Trust

Is more than a feeling

“Trust in the lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight”

The Best way is to go to the promises of God. God’s word has so many promises that you can follow and look back on. It teaches us about having faith during the hard times and good times. We still want to praise the lord during the best times we have had so far. The Key to Trusting God is Follow the Examples of Jesus.

Have a Blessed Day
